Year 2 have had an exciting and varied week of learning!

šŸŽ¶Ā Music WorkshopThe children loved taking part in a special piccolo workshop inspired by Samuel Pepys. They had great fun exploring music from the past and experimenting with different sounds and rhythms.

šŸ“šĀ ReadingIn today’s reading lesson, the class learned all about orangutans. After a quick fact-finding task, they used dictionaries to look up new vocabulary—building both their knowledge and dictionary skills!

šŸ™Ā RE – Parts of the MassThis week in RE, Year 2 explored the different parts of the Mass, learning what each part is called and discussing what happens during each stage.

āœļøĀ English – Mystical WritingThe children were captivated by a picture of a mystical land, which they named Hoctopize. Using descriptive words and phrases, they wrote imaginative sentences to bring this magical place to life.

🌱 Lenten Challenge: Plant and PrayAs part of their Lenten journey, each child planted a seed and took a moment for quiet reflection. They thought about how, just like their seed, they can grow through kindness, patience, and faith.

A fantastic week filled with creativity, curiosity, and reflection! 🌟
