To continue with our Networks unit in Computing, today Year 3 looked at packet data. We linked back to our understanding of how the internet works from our previous lesson and focused in more detail on how files are sent through networks. We then designed our own ‘files’ and broke them down into packet data. Each packet had its own instructions to help the user assemble the file.

We also learned about what happens when packet data is incomplete or the instructions don’t work correctly and the file becomes corrupted!
