Year 5 have had an absolutely brilliant week in school, packed full of exciting learning and fantastic achievements.

In Science, the children have been exploring materials and their properties. They have investigated which materials are flexible, waterproof, absorbent and durable, and have enjoyed carrying out a range of brilliant experiments to test their ideas. There was great excitement as predictions were made, results were recorded and conclusions were discussed. It has been wonderful to see such curiosity, teamwork and thoughtful scientific thinking in action.

In our Reading lessons, we have continued to immerse ourselves in our fantastic class book, Who Let the Gods Out? The children have thoroughly enjoyed following the adventures of Elliot and the Olympian gods. We have explored characters, discussed themes and developed our comprehension skills through thoughtful questions and rich discussions. The class have shown great enthusiasm and insight when sharing their ideas about the story.

One of the highlights of the week was our class worship, which was thoughtfully planned and led by a group of Year 5 children. They showed confidence, creativity and maturity as they delivered their message to the class. It was a proud moment to see them take ownership of their worship and lead it so beautifully.

Well done, Year 5, for such a positive and productive week. Keep up the fantastic work!
