Year 5 have had a brilliant start to the summer term. This week, they were lucky enough to attend a workshop at Northern Stage as part of a playmaking festival. The children enjoyed going behind the scenes to explore backstage areas and took part in a range of fun drama games on stage.
Afterwards, we headed to Exhibition Park for a picnic and some time to play.
In geography, we began our new topic on coasts. Using atlases, the children located some of the world’s most famous coastlines and explored their human and physical features.
A group of children also worked together to plan a Celebration of the Word around the theme of discipleship, and they are looking forward to leading the class in worship tomorrow.
