Today, Year 6 had a wonderful opportunity to meet representatives from Daft as a Brush (DAAB), who visited our school to share the incredible work they do for our local community.
The volunteers spoke to the whole school about the charity's mission and how they support people by providing free transport to and from hospital appointments. Their stories helped us understand the difference that kindness, compassion and service can make in the lives of others.
After the presentation, Year 6 were excited to have a closer look inside one of the DAAB ambulances and ask the volunteers questions about their roles. They learned why volunteering is so important to them and how rewarding it is to help those in need.
The visit linked perfectly with our work on being modern witnesses and our RE topic of healing and caring for others. It was inspiring to see such powerful examples of people putting these values into action every day.
A huge thank you to the DAAB volunteers for taking the time to visit us and for all they do to support our community. 🌟
