Today in RE, Year 2 explored Psalm 23 – The Lord is My Shepherd. The children listened to the hymn The Lord’s My Shepherd and reflected on how God guides, protects and cares for us, just as a shepherd cares for their sheep.
They then completed the sentence, “Psalm 23 reminds me that God…”, sharing some thoughtful ideas about how God is always with us, looks after us and helps us when we feel worried or afraid.
A lovely opportunity for the children to reflect on God’s constant love and care for each of us.
