We've had a very productive week in Year 3. In English, the children have enjoyed learning all about Ruby Bridges and listing the reasons why she is such a hero. They will be writing a biography all about her next week and have been looking at all of the features of this type of text.
We have started our new topic in RE and had a lovely lesson discussing the different promises we make both at home and in school. We discussed what a sacrament is and the children produced some lovely work based on sacraments and what they mean to us.
In maths, we have started our new topic 'addition and subtraction' and have been looking at the different strategies we can use to add and subtract.
As part of our work in science, we made skeletons and looked at the function of a skeleton and the names of all our different bones (we even danced to the skeleton song).
