What a fantastic week it’s been in Year 1! The children have been busy, curious and full of energy as they explored new skills and ideas across their lessons.
In Art, the classroom was filled with colour and creativity as the children mixed primary colours to see what amazing new shades they could make. There were plenty of surprised faces as red, blue and yellow turned into all sorts of exciting colours!
Geography took us on a journey around the UK. The children loved using maps to find and label the four countries, learning fun facts along the way.
In English, we’ve been diving into the story of Lubna and Pebble. The children have really enjoyed getting to know the character of Amir and thinking about his friendship with Lubna. Their thoughtful discussions have been wonderful to hear.
Maths has been all about counting in 2s. Using games, actions and hands-on activities, the children have shown great enthusiasm and growing confidence with their number patterns.
PE was packed with energy as Year 1 worked on their balancing and turning. There were lots of smiles as they challenged themselves and cheered each other on.
