What a Fun Week We've Had in Year 5!
In Science, we designed our own experiments using the plan, do, review model. Our investigations were all about cloning plants, and we’re looking forward to finding out whether our predictions were correct!
On Monday, we were lucky enough to be visited by one of the directors of our upcoming production. They gave us plenty of helpful tips for our performances and were especially impressed with the dance we’ve created. Then, on Tuesday, we had the exciting opportunity to visit the Northern Stage to see the stage we’ll be performing on. We also took part in some brilliant vocal exercises. Afterwards, we enjoyed a sunny picnic in Exhibition Park and even had time for a play.
In RE, we created some beautiful Traidcraft crosses inspired by our favourite saints. We used symbols to show how the Holy Spirit worked through these saints and learnt about the origin of these wonderful crosses.
We also had a fantastic French lesson where we tasted a variety of French drinks and shared our opinions — in French, of course!
