This week in Year 5 has been full of fun as well as plenty of hard work. The children have particularly enjoyed writing their own narratives inspired by the wonderful book Firebird. Their imaginations and brilliant use of language have made the stories a joy to read.
In maths, we are coming to the end of our place value unit. The children had great fun applying their knowledge by playing Yahtzee with numbers up to one million.
In RE, we explored scripture from both the Old and New Testaments. The children reflected on their own gifts and talents and discussed how they could use these to serve God by helping others.
