Year 1 have had another fantastic week of learning! They have finished their work on Cave Baby by writing their own imaginative letters as if they were Cave Baby himself — full of creativity and wonderful ideas.
This week, they also began their exciting new English topic all about the moon, exploring what it might be like to travel there and discovering fascinating facts about space.
In Maths, the children have been working hard on addition and exploring fact families, showing brilliant number knowledge and reasoning.
During RE, Year 1 looked more closely at the symbols of Baptism, thinking carefully about what each one means and why they are important.
In Art, the class created stunning geometric artwork, using 2D shapes and colour to make bold, eye-catching designs.
Finally, in PE, the children have enjoyed stretch and movement sessions and continued developing their fundamental skills through fun and active games.
What a busy and creative week, Year 1 — well done!
