Modern Foreign Language

We believe that learning a Modern Foreign Language in primary school is truly a precious gift for a child’s education. Learning another language provides a ‘cultural currency’ which can be used in the real world. It also allows children the opportunity to learn about other cultures and traditions. Of course, the main purpose of MFL learning is knowing how to speak to others. Once pupils find out that they can actually communicate in a foreign language and be understood, they will be keen to develop their knowledge and skills even further.
