Year 2 have had a wonderful and festive run-up to Christmas. They performed brilliantly in their nativity and enjoyed a fun-filled party day. The children have been busy creating Angels of Hope, cards, puppets, gift tags and calendars. This week, the children have enjoyed retelling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears .They sequenced the main events, practised retelling the story orally, and then had a go at writing their own versions. It was wonderful to see their creativity and growing confidence as storytellers!

Today in PE, our Year 1 children practised their ball skills, with a special focus on sending and receiving. We talked about how to throw a ball carefully, how to roll it to a partner, and how to use “soft hands” when catching. The children worked in pairs and small groups, taking turns to roll, bounce, and gently throw the ball to each other.
