Year 3 learned about the beliefs of Stone Age man in their History lesson this week. Year 3 have started their prehistoric paintings unit in their art lessons, which links nicely to our Stone Age topic in History. We loved our session ‘Brain Buddies’ with Jenny from the RISE project this afternoon. We talked about our brain buddy, the part of our brain that talks to us when we feel positive and good about ourselves. We also acknowledged our ‘brain bully’ and how that might impact how we feel about ourselves sometimes. Over the coming weeks, we will be looking at different strategies to help us listen more to our brain buddies and regulate any uncomfortable feelings.

In their RHE lessons, Year 3 took a closer look at the media and the influence it can have on all of us. We know that not everything we see in the media is always true and that sometimes social media can show the "highlights" of life, not the reality. We talked about the effect that this can have on the people who view it and how it might make them feel. In our music lesson with Miss Hurley, we recapped the musical vocabulary that helps us to understand more about tempo. We
