It was wonderful to welcome Gerard and Jo from the Parish to worship with us as we marked the end of the Jubilee Year Together, the children dressed the cradle and shared the toys donated as part of our Toy Appeal. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and helped bring joy to others.

We enjoyed a trip to the Great North Museum to celebrate the end of our Ancient Egyptians topic. We became gallery explorers and enjoyed looking for lots of different types of artefacts as well as pyramid building and exploring the book of the dead further.

This morning, Mrs Mooney led us in worship, reminding us about the end of the Jubilee Year and the message of the Angels of Hope . She set us a special mission — to create angels to share hope and kindness within our community. Year 6 have already created their angels and passed some to the SVP. They also have more ready to be shared around the local area or given to someone special who may need a little hope and joy. A wonderful example of living out our faith through love

Today, lots of our school family joined us at Sacred Heart Church to celebrate Bambinelli Sunday Children brought their knitted baby Jesus to be blessed by Father Michael, marking this special tradition on the Third Sunday of Advent. Our Christmas Choir then sang beautifully for families and parishioners, spreading festive cheer to all. Year 1 had an amazing festive adventure this week during their visit to the Gosforth Civic Theatre, where they enjoyed a heart-warming story time with Santa and Mrs Claus! The children were completely captivated as they listened to enchanting Christmas tales, their eyes full of wonder and excitement. They have produced a wonderful range of handmade cards, decorations and festive wreaths, each one showing great imagination and attention to detail. Nativity Magic! Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 absolutely wowed us this week with their amazing nativity, “Prickly Hay”! From beautiful singing to brilliant dancing and wonderful acting, they brought the Christmas Story to life in the most joyful way. We are so proud of every single one of them!

Today, Year 1 were absolutely amazing in their Nativity performance! They have worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks and all of their dedication truly shone on stage. The children sang beautifully, remembered their moves and help tell the Christmas Story in the most wonderful way. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Year 5 have had a wonderful week preparing for Christmas. They created their own calendars filled with good deeds to complete throughout Advent. We were also lucky enough to visit the Cathedral for carol singing, and then explore the Christmas markets for a French lesson — with some delicious crêpes to enjoy as well.
