Year 6 have been taking time this Lent to reflect on how they can grow in love, kindness, patience and forgiveness. Friday 13th March 2026
Year 3 led a beautiful Celebration of the Word, inviting everyone to reflect on their journey through Lent and the sacrifice Jesus made in the desert. The children represented their Lenten promises by creating a crown of thorns, reminding us that through our own sacrifices we journey with Jesus towards his death and resurrection. It was a thoughtful and prayerful time for our school community.

Today, Year 1 took part in their Lenten challenge to Plant and Pray . They planted their seeds and reflected on how kindness, patience and faith can help them grow into the best versions of themselves. A group of our Year 4 pupils led their peers in a beautiful Celebration of the Word based on the theme of forgiveness. They spoke confidently, shared thoughtful reflections and helped everyone take time to think about the importance of saying sorry and forgiving others. Friday 6th March 2026
Year 1 were delighted to worship with their families today as they celebrated the end of their RE unit on Meals. The children prayed, sang and read beautifully, sharing what they have learned throughout the topic. The Celebration of the Word ended with a wonderful liturgical movement to the Lord’s Prayer using BSL, which was a very special moment for everyone who attended. Well done, Year 1!

Year 6 confidently led the whole school in worship this morning. This week in Year 6 has been full of reflection and achievement. Our class worship group led a thoughtful and meaningful worship centred on the theme of service, linking beautifully to the reading The Washing of the Feet. We shared a quiet moment of reflection, thinking about how we can serve others in our daily lives, and finished with the hymn ‘Servant King’, which brought the worship together perfectly. This morning, Mrs Mooney led us in worship, reminding us about the end of the Jubilee Year and the message of the Angels of Hope . She set us a special mission — to create angels to share hope and kindness within our community. Year 6 have already created their angels and passed some to the SVP. Today, lots of our school family joined us at Sacred Heart Church to celebrate Bambinelli Sunday Children brought their knitted baby Jesus to be blessed by Father Michael, marking this special tradition on the Third Sunday of Advent. Our Christmas Choir then sang beautifully for families and parishioners, spreading festive cheer to all.
