Year 1

Year 1 have had a fantastic couple of weeks! They’ve really enjoyed spending time with their special friends and taking part in lots of exciting activities. As part of European Languages Day, the children explored art from around the world and created their own beautiful pieces inspired by different artists. Year 1 have had a brilliant start to their time with Mrs Summersby! They have been busy learning all about their emotions using The Colour Monster and exploring the Zones of Regulation. In Geography, the children have begun discovering the difference between physical and human features, while in RE, they’ve enjoyed talking about their families and making links to Jesus and the lessons we can learn from the Psalms.
