Our learning focus this week has been all about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We have enjoyed hearing the story of Rama and Sita, learning about Lakshmi - the goddess of wealth, and how Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights.
We have been making Rangolis, creating our own firework pictures, cleaning and preparing our role play area, mud kitchen and happy house.
A huge thank you to Mrs Kakwani for spending the afternoon with us, today. She talked about how she prepares for Diwali with her family at home and kindly decorated our classroom with marigolds, rangolis and lights.
