This week, Year 2 have been busy learning and exploring across all subjects! In Maths , the children have been counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s, growing in confidence with their number patterns. We've had another fantastic week here in Year 5. In our RE lessons, we've been learning about commitment and promises. We carried out some wonderful research on local charities and explored the amazing work they do to help others. Neil, from Big Science, came into school to share a fantastic workshop with us about the chemistry behind our skeletons. We loved taking part in the experiments and learning more about the importance of calcium to our bones.

Laing Art Gallery
Year 2 enjoyed their visit to the Laing Art Gallery. They looked at a variety of artworks and explored both realistic and abstract styles and techniques. The children produced some lovely still life pieces themselves, using different materials and mediums.

Year 5 have had a fabulous week of learning! In ICT, we became ‘web crawlers’ during a fun treasure hunt activity that helped us understand how search engines work. As part of our RE topic, we created beautiful leaflets explaining how followers of Jesus live. This was a lovely piece of work, with lots of thoughtful links to scripture.
