In their RISE session today, Year 1 explored the Rabbit Zone. They thought about how they might feel in this zone and discussed ways they could support themselves. The children then enjoyed some mindful time, thinking about their happy place—focusing on everything they could see, hear, feel and smell—before recording it in their workbooks and reflecting on why it helps them feel calm. A lovely session focused on wellbeing and self-awareness.

Today, every class explored the many different types of neurodiversity and discovered how our brains can work in wonderfully unique ways. Year 3 learned about the beliefs of Stone Age man in their History lesson this week. We looked at Long barrows and burial rituals as well as the significance of Stonehenge and the wy they worshipped nature. We made our own models of Stonehenge which were probably considerably easier to make than the real thing!
