Year 6 had an exciting and inspiring visit to Nissan today, where they learned all about how cars are made. We explored how construction lines work and discovered the importance of teamwork and organisation in large-scale production. Pupils enjoyed designing and building their own Lego cars and were challenged to think carefully about how production could be made quicker and more efficient.

We also saw impressive robots at work in the factory and practised skills needed for different jobs within the production process. A fabulous guest speaker joined us to talk about their role at Nissan and share what their job involves, giving us a real insight into careers in manufacturing and engineering. It was a brilliant day full of learning, curiosity and creativity.
