Year 5 have had a great week in school. In their English lessons, they have been reading a version of Anne Frank’s Diary by Josephine Poole and Angela Barrett. This week, everyone shared their opinions in a brilliant piece of writing about the importance of Anne Frank’s diary today.
On Tuesday, as we commemorated those who died during the Holocaust, the children asked some thoughtful and respectful questions about Anne, her family, and her legacy.
This week, the children also attended an interactive workshop all about carbon monoxide and its dangers. They took part in a range of engaging activities, learning how to spot the signs of carbon monoxide and how to keep their homes safe.
In maths, we have continued our work on fractions through a variety of engaging and practical tasks.
