Year 5 have had a brilliant week in school!

We have enjoyed lots of poetry in both RE and English, exploring different styles and having fun playing with words. One of the highlights was taking part in the National Day of Storytelling, where we loved creating and performing our own raps — there was plenty of creativity and confidence on show.

In DT, we have been busy designing bridges made out of spaghetti. The children showed great teamwork and problem-solving skills as they planned, tested and improved their designs.

We have also been hard at work in science, carrying out a range of experiments involving different materials and investigating their properties.

To finish the week, a group of children planned and led a wonderful Celebration of the Word. They shared a thoughtful mission they had created, which we will continue to take forward together.
