Year 3 had a ‘fin’tastic first day at school!
Following their class fish theme for this year, the children created their very own coral reef! They explored the amazing diversity of coral reefs, looking at the variety of plants and animals that live there and celebrating how each one is unique — just like them!
The children talked about how a coral reef is an environment where living things can grow and thrive. They then linked this to their own classroom, thinking about how they can create a supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can grow, learn and flourish.
What a wonderful way to begin their Year 3 journey together!
