Year 1 were full of excitement this week as they began their brand-new English text!

To spark their curiosity, the children followed a trail of clues to predict the theme of their book. After exploring snowy scenes, listening to atmospheric music, and discovering objects like a carrot, scarf, hat, and coal, they finally uncovered the mystery — they were going to be sharing The Snowman.

To build on the magic of the story, the children then explored how snowflakes move. In small groups, they worked together to create gentle, swirling movements to an instrumental version of Walking in the Air. It was a wonderful way to bring the story to life and inspire their imagination for the work ahead!
