As part of our English lessons on The Owl and the Pussycat, the children worked in pairs to explore the story in depth. They created thoughtful questions and imaginative responses, taking turns to ask and answer, which helped them practise their speaking, listening, and creative thinking skills.
This week, our school nurse visited to talk to the children about the NSPCC’s PANTS underwear rule. The session focused on how to recognise safe and unsafe situations, understand boundaries, and know who to talk to if they ever feel uncomfortable.
In Design and Technology, we have started a new unit on sculpture. The children have been exploring different ways to work with clay to create imaginative pieces of artwork. They have been practising techniques such as rolling, pressing, and smoothing the clay to bring their ideas to life.
In RE, we have continued our learning about the Bible. The children have been discussing how the stories and teachings in the Bible can guide people in their daily lives and help them make good choices.
