Year 2 ended the week with a lovely Celebration of the Word alongside their families. The focus was the Bible, with children confidently sharing links to their learning in RE lessons, where they have been exploring a range of stories from the New Testament and discussing their meanings and messages.

In DT, the children worked creatively with clay to design and make pinch pots. They carefully used the slip and score technique to join pieces together, adding extra details and decorations to their pots. The children showed great concentration and pride in their finished work.

Year 2 also thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a carbon monoxide safety workshop. They learned what carbon monoxide is, why it can be dangerous, and how to stay safe at home, asking thoughtful questions and showing excellent engagement throughout.
