The Tempest - July 2026

Year 5 gave a truly fantastic performance of their scene from The Tempest at the Playmaking Festival. From the moment they stepped onto the stage at The Northern Stage, they demonstrated confidence, enthusiasm, and incredible teamwork. Performing in such a large professional theatre was a memorable experience, and the children rose to the occasion brilliantly.

Throughout the day, they enjoyed every aspect of the festival, from the excitement of going backstage to working alongside pupils from other schools and seeing a variety of creative performances. They embraced every opportunity with maturity and positivity, supporting one another and performing with energy, expression, and confidence.

We are immensely proud of the commitment, resilience, and talent that Year 5 showed throughout the project. Their hard work during rehearsals shone through in their performance, and they represented our school exceptionally well. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the performing arts, and an experience that the children will remember for years to come.
