Year 5 have been working hard in their Design and Technology (DT) lessons to create their own recipe for spaghetti Bolognese. Throughout the project, they explored how to make their dish balanced, nutritious and, above all, delicious. The children carefully considered the ingredients they would use, learning about healthy eating and the importance of creating meals that are both enjoyable and good for us.

In English, our focus has been on exploring the different themes in Shakespeare's The Tempest and considering how Prospero changes and develops throughout the play, particularly in its conclusion. The children have enjoyed discussing the characters, themes and key events. Next week, they will draw upon everything they have learned during this topic to write their own version inspired by the play.
