It has been a busy and exciting week in the Year 2 classroom!
đâď¸Â Our young authors have begun writing their âHow to Look After a Cloudâ guidebooks. They crafted fantastic introductions, experimenting with a range of sentence types, and then carefully checked and edited their work. We are so proud of their effort and creativityâwhat a great start!
âď¸đâď¸Â In preparation for their writing, pupils also worked collaboratively in small groups to create detailed spidergrams. These helped them organise their ideas clearly, ready to develop into well-structured paragraphs. Teamwork at its best!
â In Maths, we have been learning all about halving. The children explored different methods and strategies to find half of numbers and shapes, building their confidence and problem-solving skills.
đ¤¸ââď¸Â In PE this week, Year 2 have been developing their gymnastics skills using large apparatus. They have been practising balance, jumping, safe landings, and controlled rollingâshowing great determination and teamwork!
