Year 3 have loved their RISE project ‘Brain Buddies’ sessions with Jenny. On Thursday, they completed their final session, recapping on their previous learning and how they can implement some of the strategies we have discovered during the course of the lessons. Tonight, our talented Year 4 and Year 5 pupils gathered at Sacred Heart Church for their Easter performance. They read, sang and acted beautifully, sharing the Easter story and the importance of the sacrifice made, reminding us all how we carry this message in our own lives. Their performance brought the story to life in such a meaningful and memorable way. We are incredibly proud of their confidence, expression and teamwork—what a fantastic performance!

Today, Year 4 joined their peers from Catholic primary schools across the city for a special visit to the Cathedral, where they took part in the Stations of the Cross. Today, our Mini Vinnies led a fantastic assembly all about Comic Relief They spoke confidently and clearly, sharing how the charity makes a real difference to vulnerable people and communities both here in the UK and across the world. In their RISE session today, Year 1 explored the Rabbit Zone. They thought about how they might feel in this zone and discussed ways they could support themselves. The children then enjoyed some mindful time, thinking about their happy place—focusing on everything they could see, hear, feel and smell—before recording it in their workbooks and reflecting on why it helps them feel calm. A lovely session focused on wellbeing and self-awareness.

They planted their seeds and reflected on how kindness, patience and faith can help them grow into the best versions of themselves.
